Utility Alliance, a Teeside headquartered business energy use consultancy, has opened a new Tyneside office at Quorum Business Park in Newcastle.

The fast growing company have created over 60 new jobs in an initial phase, with further growth planned.  The company have taken 13,500sqft in the top floor of building Q1 at Quorum, which gives the company room for further expansion. This is the largest letting in Newcastle so far this year.

Utility Alliance trade, monitor and use the latest technologies to lower electric, gas and water bills and was set up in Hartlepool in 2015. Initially, a team of six, the business has grown rapidly over the last three years, and now operates with a workforce of around 200.

The business has enjoyed great success and was named as overall winner in the Hartlepool Business of the Year 2017 Awards.  It is recognised as one of the fastest growing of its kind in the utilities sector, and works alongside some of the biggest suppliers in the world to secure the best possible deals for clients.

A leading IT organisation is moving its headquarters to Quorum Business Park in north Newcastle.

TSG has taken 5,650 sq ft on the ground floor of building Q11. The business will be bringing over 50 of its 350 staff nationally to Quorum.

TSG was founded in Newcastle in 2003 and has grown steadily since then with multiple acquisitions.  As one of the UK’s leading IT support, infrastructure, business software companies, TSG delivers IT support to organisations throughout the UK .

The move sees the Tech company taking the largest of the Q11 suites that were launched in September 2017.  With 5 of the 6 offices now let, Quorum will now embark on the next phase of suites.  This will create an additional range of units to suit occupiers requiring between 5 and 100 desks.

Quorum is pleased welcome Ravensworth Printing Services to Quorum Business Park

Ravensworth Printing Services, part of the Zoopla Group, have taken 6,600 sq ft office suite in the Q5 building. Ravensworth specialises in providing print ordering services to more than 4,500 estate and letting agent branches via its print technology platform, supporting the sales of properties, offering services for property listings, brochures, direct mail, email marketing and branch display products.

Ravenworth will be bringing approximately 50 staff to the park, bringing the total to over 6,000 people now working at Quorum Business Park.

Lamellar Biomedical Limited to occupy two suites

Broadoak Asset Management have secured a second biotechnology tenant and are pleased to announce that innovative biotechnology company Lamellar Biomedical is taking a total of 3,444 sq ft across suites 1 and 5 within the Maxim 1 building on a five-year lease. Fit-out works are now complete ahead of the January 2018 entry date.

The company is developing a range of patent protected medical devices and pharmaceuticals for the healthcare market based on its LAMELLASOME™ technology.  Lamellar plans to use its new premises at Maxim to support the further development of its range of medical devices and pharmaceuticals based upon its unique LAMELLASOME™ technology.

Dr Alec McLean, chief executive officer at Lamellar Biomedical, commented: “We’re thrilled with our new operation at Maxim and are looking forward to relocating to the Park in the New Year”.

“Given the range of partnerships that we have developed with NHS Scotland and leading clinicians and academics across the country, this strategic location within easy reach of major Scottish cities and airports will be hugely beneficial to both the business and our staff. Lamellar Biomedical joins a growing number of successful organisations operating from the Park including fellow biotechnology company TC BioPharm, SEPA, Wills Bros, Allied Glass, Document Data Group, SureThing, Proact IT, Regus and Balfour Beatty.  Furthermore, Maxim Office Park is situated in the hugely successful Eurocentral which is home to FedEx, Laing O’Rourke and Amazon.

Europe’s Largest Construction Company Balfour Beatty Occupies 43,600 sq ft in Maxim 7

Broadoak Asset Management have helped secure leading international infrastructure group Balfour Beatty as a major new tenant at Maxim Offfice Park. This represents the largest office letting to take place in West Scotland, outside Glasgow City Centre in 2017.

Balfour Beatty, Europe’s largest construction company, is taking approximately 43,600 sq ft across three floors on a ten-year lease.  The move sees the consolidation of seven offices at locations including Edinburgh, Glasgow and Shotts into one regional centre at Maxim.

A Balfour Beatty spokesperson said: “As part of its Build to Last transformation programme, Balfour Beatty is consolidating seven of its existing offices in Scotland in to one modern, state-of-the-art office located within Maxim Office Park at Eurocentral between Edinburgh and Glasgow. “This move will greatly enhance the collaborative offering across the Scottish markets by bringing together a number of business units and enabling functions in to one location and will also significantly reduce the cost of our Scottish office footprint.”

Balfour Beatty’s new home in Maxim 7 occupies a prime location on the south side of the long, landscaped boulevard in the park.  Incorporating dramatic entranceways and a sky-lit atrium, the building also has quiet outdoor courtyards and seating spaces which can be enjoyed by the firm’s employees and guests.  The building is also in close proximity to the park’s many amenities.

Largest letting and new jobs on the way as Insure the Box expands its office space by 50% at Quorum Business Park to accommodate growth and support ambitious expansion plans.

Leading Fintech company Insure the Box have taken an additional 12,949sqft on the first floor of building Q11, which takes its total footprint in the building to over 40,000sqft.  The existing lease has been extended so that all the space is now on a 10 year lease term to 2027.  This is the largest letting in the Newcastle suburban office market so far in 2017. Insure the Box is bringing all of its Newcastle staff under one roof enabling even greater communication and collaboration across teams and departments.

Mike Brockman, Founder and CEO at Insure the Box, comments, “The expansion at Quorum Business Park, and the signing of a 10-year lease, is significant on two fronts. Leading global property and construction consultancy, Gleeds, have announced that they are moving their Newcastle office to Quorum Business Park in the North of the City.

Responsible for recently delivering award winning projects The Malings and North Durham Academy, Gleeds have taken 2,112 sq ft, making this the first letting in the new Qeleven suites, in the Q11 building at Quorum.

Northumbria CRC, from December will base its head office at the Lightbox, Quorum Business Park, managed by Broadoak Asset Management.

The company has taken 5,596 sq ft of the first floor of the Lightbox building at Quorum, on a new 9 year lease. It will bring 65 new staff to Quorum when it takes occupation before Christmas, moving from Lifton House, Jesmond.

Nick Hall, Chief Executive of Northumbria CRC, said “We are pleased to move into new, state of the art facilities at Quorum Park. Recent changes to our operating model mean the open plan space will help to integrate various aspects of our operational functions in one location, supporting our staff across Northumberland and Tyne & Wear in delivering local probation services.”

Northumbria CRC is the second occupier to move into the Lightbox since the building was launched in April 2015 joining Connect Physical Health. This letting means that the building is now almost 40% let. The building offers greater flexibility with the four floor building offering a variety of options from 5,000 sq ft upwards to a full floor of 16,000 sq ft.

Broadoak have helped secure a major headquarter letting on Quorum Business Park, Newcastle. Greggs PLC have taken 30,715 sq.ft in building Q9 at Quorum.

Roger Whiteside, Chief Executive Officer at Greggs said: “This move is a positive and exciting step for us, and gives us the opportunity to bring all of our central functions into one location.

“Our new office space will be equipped with a modern interior and carefully designed work spaces to help ensure the best possible working environment for our colleagues.

Quorum Business Park was selected as the favoured location based on a number of factors including its high quality and modern office space, prime business location, good transport links and close proximity to Greggs Balliol and Gosforth Park production centres. The company expects to complete the move in spring 2016.

Greggs have taken at Quorum a 10 year lease. This has been the 6th letting at Quorum this year. Fergus Trim said ‘this deal sees Quorum going from strength to strength with a growing list of big names taking space.

Leading glass packaging company to join impressive tenant list.

Maxim achieves a significant letting to Allied Glass for its first Scotland operation.

A leading glass packaging company specialising in spirit bottles, Allied Glass boasts an extensive and high profile client list including The Famous Grouse Whisky, Bulldog Gin, Phraya Rum and Glen’s Vodka.

Allied are the third new occupier this year at Maxim, managed by Broadoak Asset Management. The company is taking 2,088 sq ft within the building on a five year lease and will be operational from later on in the year.

Allied Glass was attracted to Maxim Office Park’s strategic location on the M8, close to both Glasgow and Edinburgh with easy motorway access to the whole of the central belt, ideal for servicing current clients as well as expanding the business.

Philip Morris, sales and marketing director at Allied Glass, said: “We are delighted to open our new office in Scotland at Maxim Office Park. This is a strategic decision to be closer to customers, offering a more flexible and personal service as we look to expand our business in the premium whisky and spirit sector.”
